After a mission trip to Aguascalientes, Mexico in 2010, Jessie left the comforts of corporate America to establish Kakapo Marketing. With a vision to support organizations in their quests to create positive change in our world, this full-service marketing firm now serves organizations throughout the U.S. and internationally.

Jessie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and a Master of Arts in Communication Arts from the University of West Florida. Recipient of the prestigious Public Relations Society of America Golden Image Award (2003 & 2006) and American Red Cross Special Citation for Exceptional Volunteer Service (2004), her specialties include WordPress website design, graphic design, social media marketing, copywriting and public relations.

Her professional background includes positions as Vice President of Marketing and Communications for Columbia Southern University and Waldorf College; Marketing Director for United Way of Escambia County; Marketing and Communications Director for South Baldwin Christian Academy, Marketing Manager for Westbridge Solutions; and Public Relations Manager for Southern Solutions PR. She is also a licensed minister who served as a children’s pastor for nearly 10 years on the Alabama Gulf Coast.

She and her husband, Jason, homeschool their three children together in Florida’s beautiful state capitol, Tallahassee. Among her crew is also a “German Shedder,” two cats and a pet turtle.
